KRISTEN: moderator

Kristen Dickson, CSEP, CWP has developed a penchant for sales, marketing and business development over nine years in the special events industry. Her resume includes work with the Lance Armstrong Foundation, Word of Mouth Catering, and the University of Texas Law School in Austin, and Gil's Elegant Catering and the Empire Room in Dallas. In 2008, Kristen's focus shifted to public relations, marketing, event design and coordination, and she produced grand openings for Marc Events, Studios 1019, the North Texas Automotive Museum, Bubble, and Third Space. In December 2009 Kristen joined the event team at GEORGE Catering to manage client and event services and focus on business development. Kristen achieved her Certified Special Event Professional (CSEP) designation in 2008 and her Certified Wedding Planner (CWP) certification in 2010. In addition, she serves as Director of Education for the ISES Dallas Chapter and is a member of AACWP and NACE.

BETH: panelist


Beth Landsberg is the President of Red Strategies, a Dallas-based hospitality specific marketing firm. She began working in a hotel during college not knowing that she would fall in love with the event industry that would become her career. After graduation, Beth moved to the Dallas area and joined the Dallas Market Center and, in 1997, she opened Wynnwood Special Events. During her ten-year tenure she was integral in the growth of the company from establishing standard operating procedures and sales systems to building revenues and developing the corporate brand. In 2007, she opened Red Strategies. Frustrated by years of marketing with limited budgets and resources, she was driven to help her colleagues in the industry with the same struggle.

Paula Fenner: panelist

Paula Fenner, CPCE is Director of Catering and Conference Services at The Adolphus. Paula has been in the hospitality business since 1982 in hotels and private clubs from California to Georgia. Paula really enjoys putting together effective Marketing Plans to increase revenues; during her 7 years at The Adolphus catering revenues have increased 27%. Paula has also served as President of ISES and NACE.

Kristie Vento is the President of inChorus Marketing & Promotion, a marketing communications agency whose mission is to assist customers in discovering their unique stories and in taking those stories to market. Kristie possesses a BS in Marketing and more than 14 years experience in all facets of marketing and branding. Before launching the agency more than 3 years ago, Kristie served in national sales roles for Hilton Hotels Corporation, she served as Brand Marketing Manager for Small Luxury Hotels of the World and for Pegasus Solutions, as Director of Marketing for Double Diamond Resorts and even a stint as Vice President of Marketing for the largest consumer law firm in Texas, Bailey & Galyen. Kristie holds leadership roles in many marketing associations, having served on the board of directors for HSMAI for 4 terms, serving as PR Chair for MPI and as an active member in ISES, American Marketing Association, IABC, Dallas Fort Worth Area Tourism Council, and more.

Run For An ISES International Elected Position!
ISES Nomination Applications Are Currently Being Accepted for International Leadership Positions.
Are you an ISES member who is motivated, goal-oriented, experienced, a visionary and can work in a team setting?
If so, you have the qualities needed to be an ISES leader.
This is an opportunity to develop new leadership skills and make a positive impact on your society and your career.
Please consider carefully about how you or someone you know might be able to help the society as we continue to move forward.
Any ISES member who is interested in running for a position on the International Board of Governors, as a International Officer of the Board or as a USA Regional Vice President is encouraged to complete a nomination application by Monday , March 22, 2010.
The International Board of Governors and USA Regional Vice Presidents will be elected by the ISES membership.
The ISES Board of Governors will elect the Officers.
The following positions are available for the 2010-2011 ISES Leadership:
President-Elect on the ISES Board of Governors
Term of Office - One year
Eligibility Requirements - Any ISES member in good standing who is currently serving or has served as an international ISES Board of Governors member.
Treasurer on the ISES Board of Governors
Term of Office - One year
Eligibility Requirements - Any ISES member in good standing who is currently serving or has served as an international ISES Board of Governors member.
Secretary on the ISES Board of Governors
Term of Office - One year
Eligibility Requirements - Any ISES member in good standing for at least one year who is currently serving or has served as an international ISES Board of Governors member.
Director on the ISES Board of Governors - Two (2) open positions
Term of Office - Three years
Eligibility Requirements - Any ISES member in good standing for at least one year.

Regional Vice President - Four (4) open positions
Regions are: Midwest, Northeast, Southeast, West
